The skid plate is CNC cut from a solid 4mm sheet of aircraft grade aluminum. The plate is then tig welded and finished with black powder coating to increase durability. I have been buying items, specifically for motorcycles, for the better part of 20 years.   The item is very solid.  From the actual skid plate to instructions to packaging, to the logo size on the packaging, this is a solid, solid product.  A rare find for me to be so impressed.
