This purchase is for a set of frame sliders and exhaust sliders that fits the above model. The off-set brackets are made of solid steel and finished in black powder-coat for protection against the elements. They are bolted to the frame in at the engine mount and braced together via a steel cross. This connection essentially doubles the strength of the brackets. The slider pucks are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. Compared to Delrin, it is softer but tougher. Delrin is harder but more brittle. It is an ideal material for slider since it can absorb more impact force onto itself and therefore reduce the impact on the frame and engine. The pucks can be inexpensively replaced in case of a low-side. The base of the sliders is made of machined billet aluminum to minimize the bending of the sliders in a low-side. We use highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible. The engine bar is made of stainless steel and kept in place by a couple of nylon insert lock nut. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available. The frame sliders that you will receive will most likely be the top picture. However, due to constant improvement, the frame sliders can sometimes vary slightly from those in the picture.
