This purchase is for a set of engine case covers for the Honda CBR1000RR Non ABS, designed protect your bike engine and stator in the event of a low-side. The case covers are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. They can be inexpensively replaced in case of a low-side. The bolts are made of highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength). Rest assured that you are getting the best material and fully thought out product.

T Rex products is one of the best. I had these engine case covers installed on my 2017 Honda CBR1000RR SP. Went down (a low side) on one of the track days at COTA. Was a fairly long harsh slide on the tarmac and off to the gravel. I thought the bike is done, but saved by only few scratches on the fairings and clutch lever bent.
The main highlight was the left side T Rex engine case cover. It took all the harsh beating and got worn off. The engine case itself doesn't even have a scratch. I was so impressed by the quality of this thing. If not for this, the case would have shattered so badly. My friend had this installed on his Aprilia RSV4 and also had a low side 3 years back and this engine case did its job wonderfully. Highly recommend.
Now that I am looking to replace the damaged side, I see that they only sell it as a set - left and right, which is a bummer. But still worth it to spend that money.
