This purchase is for a set of spool adapters for the models above. Lifting the rear of a motorcycle can be uniquely challenging. The swing-arms have no threaded holes for spools and are at an angle. Without spools the bike can be difficult to lift with a stand. Once lifted, it can be unstable. The angle on the swing-arms makes it worse. It can cause the bike to slip off the stand and fall. T-Rex spool adapters are made to meet this challenge. They are designed to securely attach to the swing-arms and allow safe lifting of the rear wheel using a paddock stand. Other manufactures' spool adapters will also allow you to lift the bike but will not allow you to remove the wheel. This is because their spools are attached to the chain adjuster blocks and they will come off as the wheel removed. Our spool adapters attach to the swing-arm tubing. For this model, normal spools will damage the stock exhaust because the spool mounts located too much forward and too close to the exhausts. These spool adapters are designed to prevent damage to the exhausts and the swingarms. It moves the spools rearward about two inches.

Just got these and was so excited to put them on. I put the left side on first when something did not look right. So I thought I am just tired, start fresh tomorrow. So I started the next day from the first step. Still did not look right so I put on the right side so I could lift it and verify my findings. These things are a hazard, the bottom bolt goes so far threw it is hitting my sprocket nuts. This is very dangerous and should have been caught right off the bat and never sent out for production. It’s not like I bought this product off of Amazon, I ordered direct from the website. If I could I would rate these a negative number I would since this is a safety issue that should have been caught immediately.

After I contacted T-Rex they sent me out a modified product to correct the problem. It looked like a quick fix and a prototype. It works but not worth the price when you are their test subject to see if there modifications work.
