Instructions are unclear, with a tiny dark picture and poorly placed circles instead of written descriptions of which bolts you remove to install the brackets. One of the bolt heads torqued off under reasonable pressure, leaving a bolt buried in my bike.

While the dimensions are listed on the site, that's not the same as seeing it up close. Even the "Large" size is a tiny toy sportbike windshield, i.e. designed to redirect air up and over the typical streamlined crouch position of a sportbike rider. Is it POSSIBLE to lie down on an Eliminator? Sure, but nobody WANTS to ride a cruiser like that. A cruiser windshield should be tall enough to direct airflow over my helmet in a comfortable upright position. If I (an average 5'10") sit normally, the "large" windshield makes the wind WORSE. It's like partially covering a garden hose with your thumb, intensifying / speeding up the flow, except it's right in my face!

You'd think T-Rex would make an effort on the instructions given the criticism in these reviews. I didn't even get instructions in the box, so got them off the web site. You can figure it out, but if they spent about 30 minutes adding some more detail and a couple more pics, it'd be SO much easier.

The good news is that screen is heavy duty - much heavier than the OEM windscreen on my Triumph. The hardware is also of high quality. T-Rex definitely builds a quality product.

I am 5' 9" and I get a nice pocket of still air between my belt and my chin. My slightly shorter wife will probably get a little more protection, so it should work great for her. And it looks really good on the bike. I can't give 10th's of a star but would probably go with 4.2.

Large Eliminator Windshield	August 5, 2024

Quality and fitment are second to none and I can't say enough good about that. I love the fact that it is acrylic and super thick. I have the Eliminator SE model and knew I would have to remove the headlight cowl in order for it to fit properly, would be nice if T Rex made a version that fit my SE or had headlight ring to replace the cowl, I also would have preferred something about two inches taller.

A aftermarket windshield I have found over the years is a gamble as to how well is performs and the ease of installation and quality is unknow until you receive and use it.
I am very satisfied with this shield on all counts. I purchased the tall version and it performs to my expectations, it is very sturdy and mounts solid. The shield itself is 6mm thick and well made. It is a four point mount and required 4 mounting straps that no doubt was quite a challenge to design and manufacture, however everything lined up correctly making for a easy installation.
For refference I am 5 ft. 6 in.

I bought a large one because I'm 6f2. It protects my chest but all air goes into my chin. That's not a problem if I close the visor and don't use my gopro.

The instruction is quite basic, but it's enough if you have seen wrenches before :-)
