This purchase is for a set of engine case covers for the above bike model. The case covers are designed to protect your bike in case of a low side. The material of the covers are made out of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. Compared to Delrin, it is softer but tougher. Delrin is harder but more brittle. It is an ideal material for sliders since it can absorb more impact force onto itself and therefore reduce the impact on the frame and engine. The covers can be inexpensively replaced in case of a low-side. We use highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

4 of 5 Over all good on the 2025 GSXS1000GT March 27, 2026

The covers are nice and solid, however, on the right side of the big cover(not the starter one) need some modification to fit on properly, the screw hole which is closest to the brake pedal is not line up perfectly, I need to grind the screw hole on the cover a little bit to make it fit, not a big deal.
