I am having to go ahead with a return because of poor hardware that T-rex will not replace. The primary bracket that everything else attaches to is apparently often sent out in the incorrect shape and needs to be bent to fit right - except it isn't a matter of a simple angle getting adjusted it is the entire midsection of a 14 inch bar of metal that needs a specific curve on it to fit over the back fender. There is example after example of the bracket fitting correctly - even T-rex's own install videos demonstrate that it should be easy. No one anywhere has ever posted about needing to bend their hardware to make it work and yet when I went to try putting mine on the difference in shape was so much that I thought I had been sent the hardware for a different kit. But apparently it is the right one and I just need to bend this bracket into place by hand.
Backrest is well-made - except for how the hardware isn't right - but this experience has been bad.

This backrest is really solid in quality. With that said, the set screws work themselves loose while riding. I also found that one of the brackets is cutting into my side box (I have the touring model) and even in the furthest back position it pushed me forward. I realized the seat was super uncomfortable in the position that the backrest pushed me to. I looked at ordering the Corbin seat but realized that the backrest will not work with the slightly taller seat. I will be removing the backrest and installing a Givi box with a backrest that will give me more adjustment and wont move around on rides, and maybe a new seat.

Overall this is made really well. Fits my 2022 Rebel 1100 DCT perfectly.
The issue is with the adjustment screws- they tend to come loose over time, forcing me to tighten them almost daily. If they had a lock washer or second nut or something, this would be perfect.
