My 2023 klx300 has the original trex skid plate. While it seemed to stand up well it eventually allowed the entire front skid plate bracket to snap off and wore away the powder coating to form rust on the areas they now seem to place foam strips. Not sure the trouble was worth it.

Very pleased with the build quality and fitment of my skid plate. I would definitely recommend T-rex racing components to anyone in search of excellent American made products.

This skid plate has awesome coverage and was simple to install.  My only complaint is that I noticed more engine vibration noise after installation, but its a very small price to pay for the excellent protection it has provided my bike on rough rocky trails in the Smokies.  Be very mindful of the torque specs during installation, as I believe I may have over-done it on a few bolts and need to replace them now.  Overall, I highly recommend this skid plate.
