4 of 5 Bolts too long - easy fix, but shouldnt' have too April 24, 2026
Reviewer: Becky C. from Cloudcroft, NM
T-Rex engine guard on 2026 Kawasaki KLX300 - top two mounting bolts - top one too long with sharp, threaded end pushing into radiator hose. Fix: bend the metal hose guide out away from the bolt threads AND add a smooth capped nut on the exposed threads to prevent puncture in the radiator hose - T-REX; why don't you shorten these bolts??? The guard is solid on the bike, looks great, good weight, good weldments (automated). Now to fabricate my Hyperlite plastic skid plate to fit over the engine guard. :)

5 of 5 Excellent Engine Guard for KLX300 March 11, 2026
Reviewer: Joel from MT
I ordered this based on past experience with engine guards I got for my Gen3 KLR650.
These were no different.  Heavy duty, excellent welds, and bolted up quickly and easily.  Look great on the bike.   I also like the replaceable skid plates on the outer edges of the bars.   Definitely recommend them!

5 of 5 Payed for Themselves Immediately! June 30, 2025
Reviewer: Ethan from Kalamazoo, MI United States
These crash bars are great! Quick and easy to bolt on. They look good, not too noticeable and they don't stick out too far, just enough to save your legs.
I installed them on a Wednesday and took the bike to the trails on Saturday. Where I had a dozen or so low speed crashes and drops. Me and the bike came out just fine! Even saved the plastic a mishap in the trailer on a very bumpy road.
Highly recommend them!

5 of 5 Sturdy; Low Profile July 11, 2024
Reviewer: Rob from TN
I was concerned this might add a bit too much bulk/width to my bike, but once its on the bike it is very sturdy and non-cumbersome.  It has saved my foot controls more than a few times hitting rough trails in the Smokies and has survived multiple off-road drops with just minor paint/finish scratching.  I recommend this product

Bent the left engine guard in the first slow drop.   Not recommended!
