Definitely recommend Sunday, April 19, 2026 Reviewer: Greg from New York   I have this skid plate, the lower crash bars and the hand guards. I can find no fault in the skid plate. Very nice! Friday, June 27, 2025 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Maine   Extremely well packaged for shipping- I was impressed. The skid plate is a piece of art with beautiful welds and perfect black finish. Install is super simple, remove old plastic plate and put this one on. I love that the entire bottom of the bike is covered, nothing is left exposed now. I bought this with the lower and upper crash bar kits from T-Rex which are also excellent and my bike is ready to go hard! Was this review helpful to you?

Fantastic! Wednesday, September 18, 2024 Reviewer: Jason from Western Colorado   This is the skid plate you want to buy, especially if you buy the T-Rex Racing crash bars! These install perfectly and replace the factory plastic skid plate that is pretty much useless. I was able to put this on in about 10 minutes. A tip for putting it on, get the back bolts started and then do the front bolts/nuts. Don't tighten anything up until you're ready. Route the overflow tubes so that they won't interfere with install and, once that is completed, tighten down all 4 fasteners. Easy peasy! I love that this protects the entire underbody of the bike and they even added depth to allow for protection of the oversized oil drain plug that comes stock. So, even if you don't change to the low-pro design bolt, this skid plate will protect you! Final impression: BUY THIS NOW! Was this review helpful to you?

The Best Friday, May 5, 2023 Reviewer: Honolulu Rider from Oregon   I have this skid plate on my 2022 KLR 650 Traveler.  It is extremely well made and provides excellent protection including great coverage from the front through the linkage. It also looks great and integrates with the lines of the bike. I have owned many adventure bikes and used many different aftermarket skid plates and I consider this to be the best yet. 3rd Gen KLR 650 HD Skid Plate Monday, September 19, 2022 Reviewer: Peter from Litchfield, Maine   The best option available in my opinion. Fits perfectly, made very strong and matches the bike exceptionally well. Looks factory, but is so much better. Clean application, flat bottom to slide over obstacles and also keeps your rear linkage protected. Definitely worth the investment. I have yet to see anything in the same league as T-Rex when it comes to protecting your bike, from quality, to fit and finish. Was this review helpful to you?

Durable and Functional Monday, March 28, 2022 Reviewer: JakeFromStateFarm from San Clemente, CA   Swapped my stock plastic skid plate to this durable aircraft grade aluminum skid plate and couldn't be happier. Installation was a breeze, took about 10 minutes. In order to remove the top two screws on the stock skid plate put a wrench on the nut behind the skid plate to hold that nut while you ratchet the screw off. Other than that, install was pretty simple. Just reused the old hardware and mounting points as instructed in the provided instruction video. Was this review helpful to you?
